Adrian Ginju - Former Member of Romanian Olympic Swim Team
Lori Pailet - Co-Founder and Managing Director
Adrian Ginju was born in 1959 in a small village in Sibiu, Romania. He
is the only child of two adoring parents. His mother was a prominent attorney and his father
was an architect. When Adrian was 5 years old he joined the village swim team. Daily rigorous
training and devotion made Adrian qualify for the Romanian Olympic Swim Team. Adrian trained at
the 23rd August Olympic Camp in Romania at the same time as other world class athletes.
Swimming has been an opportunity for personal freedom and self expression. One acquires
discipline, coordination, balance and harmony. Being able to master the water as a medium is
essential to the human spirit, the physical being and life.
Adrian holds a Water Safety Instructors certificate, is a certified Life Guard ,
CPR and Aquatics Director. Ginju has received a multitude of international awards, diplomas and
medals over the years. Ginju believes in a gentle approach to swimming instruction.
Lori Pailet was born in New Orleans, La in the 1950's. Her father was a doctor
and her mother was a MFA Yale graduate. Lori spent the majority of her life in New York City
and Los Angeles. Lori went to the Rudolf Steiner School on 79th and Madison and the United
Nations International school in New York City. Pailet has studied art and sculpture at Maryland
Institute College of Art and Hunter College. Pailet also studied Modern dance at Martha Graham
and ballet at Robert Jeoffry. She ran a successful design company for over 15 years in New York
City and has a great reputation in the business community in New York and Los Angeles. Swimming
has always been her passion. Moving in the water is like sculpting and dancing. Pailet believes
that swimming and water aerobics are the "here and now" activities for fitness and release of
tension.
